As a brewery located in the middle of the Appenzellerland, we are eager to preserve our landscape and work with domestic suppliers. We therefore deliberately promote the cultivation of malting barley in Switzerland. In 2008 we grew over 80 tonnes of Swiss malting barley for our Quöllfrisch beer – and this year's harvest will be over 100 tonnes. We also purchase all our organic hops from Switzerland.
We obtain raw materials from the following Swiss producers.
